Lauren George, PA-C

Lauren grew up in Michigan and completed her undergraduate degree at the University of Michigan where she earned her Bachelors of Science in Engineering, graduating Magna Cum Lade in 2006. After working at the University of Michigan Hospital, Lauren moved to Washington, DC in 2007 to attend the School of Medicine and Health Sciences at George Washington University, where she received a Master’s of Science in Health Sciences in Physician Assistant Studies and was a member of the Alpha Eta Honor Society. Lauren started her career as a Physician Assistant working at a Family Medicine clinic in Fredericksburg, Virginia. Next, she transitioned to the role of Lead Physician Assistant for the Orthopaedic Department at The George Washington University Hospital. During her decade with the GWU Orthopaedic Team, Lauren specialized in trauma, sports medicine, foot and ankle, and adult reconstruction. She trained students, residents, and new Physician Assistants and also gave lectures to students and nurses.

Lauren joined Dr. Stein’s team and is committed to the health and wellbeing of our patients. Lauren works closely with Dr. Stein and our clinical team in the treatment of our patients’ complex orthopedic needs. She assists in the operating room alongside Dr. Stein and sees patients in the clinic. She works with Dr. Stein to help with the pre and post operative care of our surgical patients. Lauren enjoys working as part of our team to provide excellent patient care and helping people recover and return to their active lifestyles

In her free time, Lauren runs, cycles and avidly cheers for the Washington Capitals. She lives with her husband, two children, and dog in Northern Virginia.
